Does Jim Boeheim have “March madness”?

Jim Boeheim wants more teams in the NCAA tournament, as if 65/64 is not enough. Hey, Orangeman, if you can’t end the season better than 19-13 and rated high enough to be considered one of the 64 best teams in the nation, there is a place for you–the NIT. Win that and maybe next year’s selection committee will think twice about excluding Syracuse.

If the field were doubled, as Boeheim has hinted, we would get a #1 seed battling a # 128 seed. If we want meaningless games in March we would watch any of the remaining NHL or NBA games, or even spring training baseball.

It seems that Boeheim has a touch of March madness himself.
