Hillary could be president with one word
Poor Hillary. She is clinging like a jilted lover, using her claws to hold her tenuous position trailing Barack Obama and not a thing to be done to make up her deficit. This should be the presidency that was lost on one word–NO. If only she had said NO to the war in Iraq when she had the chance. It would have taken a bit of backbone and an even smaller bit of political wisdom to say NO. Clearly, she believed that the U.S. should not go to war, because she is backpedaling faster than a circus clown on a unicycle on the high wire, doing the Kerry two-step in trying to deny her vote to go to war, saying she did not have enough information, that she was bamboozled, that she was deceived. Apparently she believes such deception is an easy thing to pull off, for if she were deceived by President Bush then perhaps she might deceive voters by asking them to believe that she really meant to say NO, that if she had another opportunity she would say NO. But, like the high school slut, a girl gets but one chance to say NO, and then no one believes her again when that word comes out of her mouth. NO. Two letters. One of the simplest words in the English language. One of the first words we all learn. It is coming back to haunt her, as it is pellucidly clear from polls of all measure that Americans disapprove of the war and that any candidate who can prove he/she was against it when a majority of the gummy bear spined Congress were “deceived” would get 51% of votes on that basis alone. Had Hillary voted her conscience, which apparently is buried deep beneath her desire for power and is difficult to access, her run through the primary would be a cakewalk, the nomination would be hers, Obama would be the answer to the question of which Black man made the most serious run for the presidency before falling, and McCain would be but a decrepit obstacle in her path to the White House. Pity poor Hillary, who was endowed by her Creator, a true patriot, with a double dose of duplicitousness and denied a proper dose of conscience. Lucky for the country, though.
